At 90 years young, Theresa Agnes Vachon (née Larocque) passed away peacefully at the West Nipissing General Hospital surrounded by her 9 children: Rachel (Clément St-Pierre), Daniel, Louise (Richard Lafontaine), Liette, Nicole (Mike Lalande), Lilianne (Ron Milito), Denise (Michel Langevin), Jeannine (Roch Arcand) and Paulette. Dedicated grandmother to 25 grand-children: Gaston, Alex, Greg, Michelle, Dustin, Maxine, Jennie, Jesse, Mathew, Jeff, Ronnie, Amanda, Laura, Marc-André, Louis II, Danny, Sophie, Chelsie, Nicholas, Michel, Zachary, Jonathon, Patrick-Gaston, Eric-Philip and Trevor. Loyal great-grandmother to 20 great-grandchildren: Chloé, Lilly, Olivia, Nicholas, Abby Lee, Bhodi, Carter, Luka, Damien, Théa, Zayden, Mia, Chase, Maxx, Landon, Mason, Mallory, Zoé, Gavin and Skyra.
Theresa was pre-deceased by her loving husband of 47 years Gaston Patrick Vachon and her 3 brothers Terry, Joseph and Coleman. She is survived by her half-brother Paul Lebrun and 2 sister-in-law Marie Larocque and Liliane Vachon.
The family would like to give their sincerest thanks and appreciation to Dr. Labelle, the incredible nurses and staff at the West Nipissing Hospital who treated our mother with dignity, grace, compassion and respect. In addition, we send our very special thanks to Estelle Levac, her long-time friend and companion who was very dedicated to taking good care of our mother always.
Theresa’s family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, October 2, 2021, from 2 pm to 3 pm with a “Celebration of Life” to follow at McGuinty Funeral Home (123 Railroad Street, Sturgeon Falls +1(705) 753-6038).
