Peacefully at Nipissing Manor, Corbeil on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 in his 94th year. He was predeceased by his first wife Mary Jane (Mann) (died, 1975), his second wife Violet (Caldwell) (died, 1981), his parents Lenore (Gosselin) and Onizime Vachon, and his sister Jean McLaren. Omer is survived by one nephew Robert McLaren, several relatives and friends.
He worked in Kipawa, Que on the railroad and retired to North Bay in 1986 before moving to Nipissing Manor. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects at the PAUL FUNERAL HOME, Powassan on Saturday, August 11, 2007 from 10:30 to 11:30 am. The funeral service will be celebrated by Father Roch Gagnon in the funeral home chapel at 11:30 am. Interment St. Louis de France Cemetery, Chisholm.
