TURGEON, Gilbert David (Turk)

In his 69th year, passed away February 15, 2006 at the Sudbury Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Survived by his loving wife of 46 years Helen (Cousineau), son Jean Guy and mother-in-law Iva Cousineau. Also survived by sisters Gisele Doucette (Harold), Theresa Aubut (Ron deceased), Paulette Turcotte (Rolly), Claudette Gagnon (Don) and brothers Richard (Brenda), Donald (Lynne) Michael (Donna), John (Vickie), Steven, Larry. Predeceased by parents Ernest and Agnes (Larochelle), brothers Reg (Eileen deceased), Roger, Joe (Barb), Archie (Sharon), Rheal 'Winky' and sisters Carole Pask (Greg), Annette Grandmond and father-in-law Lorne Cousineau. Turk retired from McBurney Transport in 1994 after many years of service. He enjoyed his involvement with The Callander Old Timers Ball Tournaments over the last 25 years. As ordered by the deceased, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service, but there will be a party to celebrate his life in the Lounge at the Callander Legion on Saturday afternoon, April 15, 2006.
