TRIPP, John Colthurst

Suddenly at home on Friday May 11, 2007, John Colthurst Tripp in his 71st year. Dear husband of Helen (nee Bogdanski). Loving father of Rick (Darlene) of Callander and Robin (Brenda) of Thornton. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Katie, Jenny and Bailey. Survived by his brothers Don (Ethel) of Trout Creek and David (Leah) of Florida, several nieces and nephews and his uncle Abiel Frith (Audrey) of London as well as several cousins. Predeceased by his parents Sidney and Jean Tripp.

John was an employee of the MTO for 38 years and a former member of the Granite Club and the North Bay Golf & Country Club. More recently, John volunteered as a board member and local coordinator for the Master Gardeners of Ontario, was involved with the Callander and North Bay Horticultural Societies and was currently involved as a coordinator in a volunteer project with Natural Resources Canada.

Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home (across from city hall) on Monday from 7-9 pm and on Tuesday from 10-11 am. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 11 am. Cremation at the Forest Lawn Crematorium.
