Gord Thorogood died peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family in Trout Creek on Friday, March 21, 2008 in his 76th year. He was the beloved husband of Noreen E. (Merritt) of Trout Creek; Father of James Thorogood (Joan) of Trout Creek, June Gorman (Duane) of Elliott Lake, Randy W. Thorogood (Kathy) or Orillia and Douglas Thorogood (Dianne) of Port Carling. Predeceased by Jim's first wife, and Gord's daughter-in-law Peggy. Proud Grandfather of Joseph, MelanieSara, Kaitlyn, Matthew, Melissa and Kyle. Gord was the dear brother of Robert Thorogood (Elsie) and Violet Sheridan (Norman) all of Orillia. The Thorogood family will receive visitors at the PAUL FUNERAL HOME, Powassan, on Monday, March 24, 2008 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm with a Legion Tribute beginning at 7 pm. The funeral service at will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 am in the Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation will follow. If desired, Memorial Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
