Yvonne Thompson died suddenly at her home in Port Loring on Saturday, December 23, 2006 in her 78th year. Yvonne (Hutchins) was the beloved wife of the late Albert “Bert” Graham Thompson, and the loving mother of Dale Thompson (Lise) of Azilda, Faye Owens (the late Leonard) of Golden Valley, Cecil Thompson (Helene) of Port Loring, Wayne Thompson (Betty) of Niagara-on-the- Lake, Lynn Clelland (Ron Kingshott) of Port Loring, Merva Thompson (Yvon Roy) of Port Loring, Darren Thompson (Angel) of Waskatenau, Alberta, Kelly Driver (Bobby) of Arnstein and Sherri Dolman (Neil) of Peterborough.

She had 21 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sons Bert & Darrell, and grandson Joshua Martin. Yvonne was the dear sister of the late Garfield “Gooch” (Doreen of Etobicoke), the late Willis, the late Vernon “Tarzan” (Ruby of Loring), the late Lois Wice (Vic of Loring), Fern Begley of Richmond Hill, Joan Thompson (Brock) of Port Loring, Bernard “Buddy” Hutchins of Port Loring, Mildred “Tish” Austin (Don) of Newmarket, Gerald “Gerry” Hutchins (Linda) of Port Loring, Fred (late Pat) of Mississauga, and Darla McCauley (late Jim) of Arnstein, and aunt to many nieces and nephews

The family received visitors at the St. Andrews' United Church in Port Loring on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 pm and on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 am. The Funeral Service was held in the church on Thursday at 11:00 am. Cremation will follow with spring Interment Port Loring Cemetery.
