STORIE, Wayne Charles Alfred

Wayne Storie died peacefully Sunday, October 4, 2015, surrounded by family, at his home on Ruth Lake. He was in his 76th year. Wayne was the beloved husband of Betty Ann (Dagenais) of Powassan and much loved father of Heather Storie, Calgary, Roxe Ann Storie-Gregoire (Marc) of Callander, Lana Perron (Gilles) of Astorville, and Corry Ticknor (Tim) of Orillia. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Justin (Amanda), Natasha (Luke), Cyla (Misha), Devon, Wayne, Tanner (Lisa), Emmy and great-grandchildren Rachelle, Robyn and Luka. He is survived by his sisters Delta Davidson (Bob) of Alberta and Jeanette Geddes (Ron of Tillsonburg). Wayne was predeceased by his parents Rose (Grasser) and Albert Storie, and his siblings Blair Storie (Dorothy of North Bay), Donna Osborne (Allan of Powassan), and Faye White. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Wayne enjoyed 22 years of family time, and his favourite hobbies, after retiring from Ontario Hydro in 1993. A special thank you to the nursing staff of VON, your support and care was exemplary and greatly appreciated. The Storie family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at Paul Funeral Home on Thursday, October 8th at 11 am then a reception will be held at the Grace Pentecostal Church, Powassan. Cremation will follow. Wayne always liked flowers or, if desired, memorial donations to the VON are suggested.
