With her family at her side, Shirley Storie died peacefully on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at North Bay Regional Hospital, at the age of 72. Shirley (nee Paul) was the beloved wife of Daryl Storie of Powassan. She was predeceased by her first husband Edward Storie, her parents Birdie (Bradley) and Norman Paul and by her daughter Cathy. Shirley was the loving mother of Kirk Storie (Sally) of Powassan and Joanne Geyer (Russ) of Banff, Alberta and stepmother of Eldon Storie (Cimmaron) of Powassan and Doug Storie (Brennie) of British Columbia. She was the proud grandmother of Angie, Amber, Dustin and Cameron and great-grandmother of Carlo, Amelia, Alex and River. Shirley was the dear sister of Clarence Paul (Fran), Eileen “Toots” Frederick (the late Doug) and Ron Paul (Pat), all of Powassan and Brenda Caverly of North Bay. The Storie family will receive visitors for a Memorial Visitation at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan, on Saturday, May 26, 2012 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
