Peacefully at North Bay General Hospital, Monday, October 16, 2006, in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Marguerite (nee Tessier) for 58 years. Dearly loved father of John (Irene) of Corbeil , Janice Lauzon (Bob) of Bonfield, Debbie Fitchett (Jim) of Guelph, Kelly of Toronto and David of Bonfield. Loved grandfather of Kevin, Carole Ann, Krista, Devin, Erica, Erin, Tuesday, Adrian, Hannah, and great- grandfather to Rowan and Sophie. Dear brother of Margaret Drennen (Carl) and Anna Lucas (Ambrose), all of Mississauga, David Stephens (Carol) of Elmvale.



George had been a resident of Corbeil, Lake Nosbonsing for 50 years.He loved his grandchildren, ice-fishing, telling tall tales and helping his friends. George will be remembered as a 'giver' who was always there to provide a helping hand to family and friends.



Cremation at Forest Lawn Crematorium. Memorial visitation Friday from 10 a.m. till time of service in the McGUNITY FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, at 11 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Ste. Bernadette's Building Fund would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
