A long time resident of Redbridge, Ontario, Gertrude Mary Stephen in her 91st year. Passed away peacefully at North Bay General Hospital on Saturday, March 5, 2005. Born in Ottawa, January 9, 1915. Married Alfred Morris 1939 (deceased). Beloved mother of Terry Morris (Linda) of Redbridge. Sadly missed by grandchildren Deedee Sheffield (Chris) and Troy Morris (Jennifer). Forever remembered by great-grandchildren, Megan and Samantha Sheffield, Brooke, Paige and Kirsten Morris. Married Donald Stephen (deceased) in March 1968. Stepchildren Ronald Stephen (Irene), of Redbridge, Sandra Larivee (Don) of Powassan, Stuart Stephen (Deb) of Lethbridge, Alberta. Stepgrandchildren, James Stephen (deceased), Kathy Sullivan (Bob) of Redbridge, Mary Ann Stephen (Jerry) of North Bay, David Stephen (Chantal) of Thunder Bay, John Larivee (Laurie) North Bay, Glen Larivee (Nancy) of North Bay, Louanne Kelly (Pete) of North Bay, Kelly and Brandy Stephen, Lethbridge. Stepgreat-grandchildren Brandon, Aaron, Neil and Megan Sullivan, Jadden, Kyler Stephen, Christopher, Sean Larivee, Matthew, Hannah Larivee. Survived by brother John Phillips (Kathleen) Prescott, Ontario. Predeceased by brothers, Ken (Esther), George Phillips (Ann) and sister Joan Morris (Ken) and parents William and Gertrude Phillips. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Gertie was a life time member of the Phelps Womens' Institute. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Road, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the North Bay General Hospital Equipment Fund or the Phelps Womens' Institute will be gratefully acknowledged by her family.
