Roland St. Pierre died unexpectedly at North Bay, in the arms of his wife, on Friday, February 1, 2013. He was in his 66th year. He was the beloved husband of Lorraine (nee Lagassie) of Astorville; the much loved father of Roland St. Pierre Jr. (Roseline) of Powassan, Hank St. Pierre (Julie McCorry) of Nipissing, Jessica Wright (Brian) of South River and Jazmine St. Pierre of Astorville; grandfather of eleven and great-grandfather of seven. Roland was the dear brother of Emilie Ouellette (the late Aurel) of North Bay, Reg (Agnes) of North Bay, Lilly (Etienne Ouellette) of North Bay, Ray (Gloria) of Chisholm, Aurian (Dorothy) of North Bay, Aurel (Georgette) of North Bay, Lucy (Earl Robinson) of Temiskaming, Ron (Lorraine) of Corbeil, the late Gerry, Lorraine (Don Lagassie) of North Bay, Rick (Lorie) of Astorville and Theresa of North Bay. Roly was predeceased by his parents Lea (nee Turgeon) and Eldege St. Pierre and is survived by his mother-in-law Yvonne Lagassie (the late Vic) of North Bay (formerly of Powassan). Roly was a chromer (retired) with Barrie Hard Chrome Plating Co. and a general handyman, always willing to help anyone out, wherever and whenever needed. The St. Pierre family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm with prayers at 8:45 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 6 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas d’Aquin Church, Astorville. Spring Interment St. Thomas d’Aquin Cemetery.
