(1916-2008). A lifetime resident of Cache Bay, Walter passed away at the North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site, on March 10, 2008 at the age of 91 years. Son of the late Reginald and of the late Elizabeth (née Carswell) Smith. Beloved husband of Margaret (née Collins) Smith of Cache Bay. Loving father of Lola Bremner (Douglas) of Waterdown and Emily Desbois (Robert) of Cache Bay. A special grandfather (Da) to Erica (Wayne) of Australia, Jason (Jennifer) of San Diego, Connie Laferriere(Claude) of Oshawa, Ricky of Cache Bay, Dean and Kevin (Julie) both of Sturgeon Falls and great-grandfather to Jaxon, Teah, Hailey, Tyler, Sierra, Justine, Karine, Amber and Wade. Dear brother of George (Harriet) of Sturgeon Falls. Predeceased by his sisters, Olive McIntyre (late Sanford), Lucy McIntyre (late Lindsay), Alice Skelton (late Frank) and Violet McIntyre (late Clayton). The family will receive friends at THEORET BOURGEOIS FUNERAL HOME, Sturgeon Falls, on Friday, March 14, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel, on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 2 p.m. Donations to the Alzheimer's Society or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
