Passed away peacefully at Cassellholme on November 12, 2008 in her 93rd year. Laura, beloved wife of the late Stanford Smith. Loving mother of Vaughan Smith (Lynda) of Fort Erie and Nancy Smith (Ron Duffy, deceased) of North Bay. Dear grandmother of Elizabeth Smith of St. Catherines and Scott Smith of Kincardine. Sister of the late Anna May Lester and the late Earl Campbell. Laura will be missed by her sister-in-law Hilda Campbell. She will be fondly remembered by her nephews and nieces. Laura taught for many years for the North Bay Public School Board. She also taught in Muskoka and Timmins. Special thanks to the staff on the 3rd floor of Cassellholme for her wonderful care. Laura almost always showed her gratitude for the warmth and kindness she received. Her wishes were for cremation and a private family inurnment next to her husband in Kitchener.
