SMITH, Beatrice (née Trudel)

Passed away, Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at the age of 82. For the last several years Beatrice was cared for under the wings of her daughter Liana in Ottawa. Devoted and caring mother, she will be sadly missed by her children, Ronald (Judy) of North Bay, Robert, Dianne (Robert) and Liana (Iris) all of Ottawa. She will also be lovingly remembered by six grandchildren, Kathy Jeanneault (Don), of Powassan, Charles Facette, Paul Smith (Tammy), Ted (Cindy), all of Ottawa, Michael Smith of North Bay and Ronda Smith-Jalbert (Shawn) of Barrie, and five great-grandchildren, Mathieu, Adam and Madison Jeanneault of Powassan and Jackson and Mason Smith of Ottawa. Beatrice was the dear sister of Laura Foisy (Fred-deceased), Lena Levesque (Armand –deceased), Evelyn Groulx (Phillip), Lynn Schelkie, all of North Bay and Jeannette Hamilton (Fred) of Alberta. Predeceased by her husband, Homer Smith, her parents, Ida (née Corbeil) and Albert Trudel and two brothers, Joe and Robert Trudel. Beatrice was a strong woman and admired by many for her courage throughout her life; she was a member of the Elks Club, Corpus Christie Parish and St-Vincent-de-Paul Church.



Family and friends may pay their respects at McGUINTY FUNERAL HOME, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Funeral service will be conducted at the McGuinty Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday at 11:15 a.m.. Cremation will follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of choice would be gratefully appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of McGuinty Funeral Home.
