After a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family, at the London Health Sciences Centre on Monday, March 13, 2006. Betty L. Slugoski (nee Bailey) of Thames Ave., of Innerkip, in her 61st year. Beloved wife of Flo Slugoski. Cherished daughter of Alec and Beatrice Bailey. Dear mother of Michelle Murphy and her husband Mike of Woodstock, Jennifer Fournier and her husband Dan of Guelph, Erica Slugoski and her fiancé Lennis Miller of Innerkip. Loved grandmother of Brynn and Halle Murphy and Reid Fournier. Dear sister of Lindsay Bailey and his fiancée Jo- Anne Mancell, Cheryl Laperriere and her husband Henri. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Betty was active with the Innerkip Parks and Recreation.

Friends were received at the R.D. LONGWORTH FUNERAL HOME, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The complete funeral service was held in the chapel Friday at 11 a.m. Interment later at Innerkip Cemetery.
