It is with great sadness that the family of Phyllis Shelton, announce her passing at Health Sciences North, Sudbury, on March 27, 2024 at the age of 79 years.
She passed away peacefully in the loving arms of her daughters. Phyllis is survived by her daughters Teri-Lynn (Bill), Jennifer (Luke), stepson John Sloan, brother Robert Shelton (Sarah) and her sisters Cheryl Yurkowski (Ray) and Lois Orlik. Also, by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Robert and Ivy Shelton, her husband John Sloan (2000) and her grandson Taylor Kulikowski (2001). Phyllis was known by all as ‘Mom’ and will surely be missed by all. Cats and dogs were her joy. She would often watch videos of them on her phone. She loved to spend her summers at her trailer in Powassan and more recently in her backyard oasis at home.
As per Phyllis’s wishes there will be no visitation or service. Any donations can be made to Diabetes Canada, Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the SPCA by cheque or online. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
