On Tuesday, September 13, 2005 Helene Setchell died peacefully at Eastholme, Powassan with family by her side. She was in her 83rd year. Helene (Oldfield) was predeceased by her husband Harry Everest Setchell (1919-1999). She was the beloved mother of Sandra George (Robert) of Hanmer, Wanita Matthews (Ray) of Bonfield, Darryl Setchell (Marilyn) of Blind River, Peggy Rains (Ray) of Australia and Cherryl Warnica (Glen) of Barrie. Helene was the sister and best friend of Mary Hall of Powassan and was predeceased by her stepbrother Wilbert McFadden. She will be fondly remembered by 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Helene was active for many years in the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 453. The Setchell family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Thursday, September 15, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, September 16 at 11 a.m. Interment Powassan Union Cemetery.
