At Leisureworld Nursing Home, North Bay on Sunday June 22nd, 2008 at the age of 76 years. Predeceased by her husband Louis Schiavo and a brother Jack. Dear mother of Michael (Cindy) of North Bay and Jason (Stephanie) of Cache Bay. She was a loving “nanny”to her 5 grandchildren Cory, Melissa, Breanna, Mackenna, Giovanni and 1 great grandchild Sloan. Dear sister of Joyce Beatty of B.C. Joan was a volunteer at the Corpus Christi Church food bank for many years. Family receiving friends at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Rd., on Tuesday June 24th from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 pm. Funeral service Wednesday June 25th at the funeral home at 10:30 am., followed by interment alongside her husband at St Mary's Cemetery. Donations to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario, Canadian Cancer Society or Canadian Diabetic Association in memory of Joan will be gratefully acknowledged by her family.
