SCANLON, Michael

With extreme sorrow, we are all trying to come to terms with the death of Michael, after a courageous battle with cancer. He passed away peacefully at home on Thursday December 6th 2007. Michael was born in Saskatoon, Sask on August 16th 1953. He was the soul mate and beloved partner of Sue Cantin for 28 years. Michael is predeceased by his father Robert in March 2002.He will be mourned by his mother Cecelia Marie and sisters Gail (Bryan) Jamieson, Lee (Barry) Frampton and Liz (John) Maric. Also his niece Megan and nephew little Mike will greatly feel his loss as well as his niece Lisa Beach and her children Matthew and Jessica. Michael worked for Fabrene Inc for 30 years and looked forward to his annual trips to the sunny south. Michael moved often throughout Canada as his father served in the R.C.A.F and developed a love of travel from his parents. Michael had a very witty sense of humor, and his many friends will feel his loss as he was a thoughtful, kind person always.



Funeral arrangements entrusted to HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES 362 Airport Rd. Tentative arrangements have been made to celebrate Michael's life on Sunday December 9th from 12 pm until 3 pm at the North Bay Granite Curling Club, 2624 Trout Lake Rd. Donations to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation will be greatly acknowledged by the family.
