Passed away peacefully at the North Bay General Hospital on June 10th, 2008 in her 88th year. Marie was the devoted and cherished mother of Gail (Bryan) and Elizabeth (John). Treasured grandmother of Lisa (Dave), Megan and Mike and great-grandmother of Jessica and Matthew. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Robert, her daughter Lee (Barry) and son Michael (Sue). Following retirement from her teaching career in both primary and special education, Marie and Robert enjoyed extensive travel throughout North America, Europe and the British Isles. Family gatherings were especially important. She will be sorely missed by her sister Mae and lifelong friends in B.C. A special thanks to the Palliative Care staff at the North Bay General Hospital-Scollard Site for their care and compassion. Arrangements entrusted to HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES 362 Airport Rd. At Marie's request there will be no service or visitation.
