It is with great sorrow and sadness that our family announces the passing of our father, husband, grandfather, son and brother, Michael Harmer Sanderson on Tuesday, January 29, 2008. He died suddenly but peacefully in his sleep at the age of 62. Michael will be greatly missed by his beloved wife Priscilla (Price) and his five children Linda MacWilliams of Toronto, Darrel (Lori) MacWilliams, Jim (Debbie) MacWilliam of North Bay, Eva MacWilliams of Callander and Brandy (Wayne) Heikoop of Powassan. He is predeceased by his father Dr. Norman Sanderson, and survived by his mother Mary Sanderson (Joseph Lauret) of Orillia and his sister Jane Gable of Midhurst. He will be sadly missed by grandchildren Brent MacWilliams (Alberta), Jeff MacWilliam (Toronto), Tiffany MacWilliam (British Columbia), Jason MacWilliams (North Bay), Justin MacWilliam (North Bay), Keila Michelle Nikkanen (Ottawa) and Jordan MacWilliams (North Bay). He will also be missed by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Michael was an amazing man who fell in love with a woman with five children ages 11 and up. Pat and Mike were best friends and did everything together. Every summer you could see them riding through Callander on their Harley Davidson after returning from a ride with the Harley owners group. He loved his Harley. Michael was a kind, cheerful, friendly man who loved life, his family and his toys. He will be noticeably missed by Callander residents and customers of Callander Taxi, the company he owned and operated with his wife Pat. In keeping with Michael's wishes he will be cremated. Viewing will be held at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Road in North Bay on Thursday, January 31st from 7-9 p.m. and the service will be held on Friday, February 1st at 11 a.m. On June 8th a second service will be held at the Boston Mills Cemetery in Caledon, Ontario, where Michael's ashes will be interned next to his father. In lieu of flowers donations to ChildFind or any charity of the donor's choice will be appreciated.
