ROY, Lorraine

Passed away at Leisureworld Nursing Care Centre, Thursday, December 21, 2006, at the age of 87. Lorraine Roy (née Desjardins) was the loved mother of Ronald Roy (Pauline Rochefort) of Gatineau, Québec. She will be lovingly remembered by 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Dear sister of Jean-Marie Desjardins (Leona) of Tweed, Ontario. Predeceased by her parents, Bernadette (née Dupuis) and Octave Desjardins, her husband, Dorian Roy, two sons, Raymond and Gérald Roy and a sister, Anita Borkowski.

Lorraine worked many years for the Department of Highways. She loved to dance and she was a fantastic seamstress.

Family and friends paid their respects at MCGUINTY FUNERAL HOME, Tuesday, December 26, 2006, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral mass was celebrated at Paroisse St-Vincent-de-Paul, Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
