Passed away after a lengthy illness at North Bay General Hospital, Thursday, June 25, 2009 at the age of 58. Lauraine (née Larivée) was the beloved wife of 40 years of Gaston Roy and cherished mother of Danielle Roy (Allan Phillips), Alain (Laura) and Chantal Roy and beloved step-mother of Wendy Teal. She will be lovingly remembered by 12 grandchildren, Kathryne, Dillan, Nicholas, Kayla, Alexandra, Renée, Marianne, Véronique, Gabriel, Ryan, Cheryl and Daniel. Lauraine is also survived by sisters Denise Little (Terry) and Jacqueline Lavoie (Peter) and fondly remembered by many other family members and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Gilberte Shank and René Larivée and one sister, Rachelle. Family and friends may pay their respects at McGUINTY FUNERAL HOME, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Paroisse St-Vincent-de-Paul, Monday at 11 a.m. Cremation will follow at Forest Lawn Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy donations to Lung Association would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
