ROCHON-COLEMAN, Laurette (nee Levesque)

Posted

The family announces with love and great sorrow, the passing of a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She left us as she lived - peacefully and quietly, February 22, 2005, in her 93rd year. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Sarah Levesque, six sisters and seven brothers, also her first husband, Percy Coleman and by her second husband, Rene Rochon. She was the dearly loved mother of Geraldine Laframboise (Marcel), Claudette and Marlene Coleman (friend Ron), all of North Bay. She was a devoted and loved grandmother to her granddaughters, Mylène Pearce (Dave) of Collingwood and Danielle Trudeau of North Bay. She was also a much loved "Nannie" to six great-grandchildren. Laurette was a member of the CWL of St. Anne's Parish in Mattawa and also a member of Dames de la Fédération. Laurette's central and primary joy was her children. The pride she took in caring for her home and tending her flower garden was most evident to everyone. In the face of adversity she always demonstrated strength, courage and integrity that will forever remain an important part of how she will be remembered by all those who knew her. She was a kind, quiet, gentle, soft-spoken woman who laughed easily and lived fully, a woman whose needs were simple and whose wants were few. We will always remember her as so happy to receive us, please us and love us without reservation. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, February 24th, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the T.L. Smith Funeral Home, Mattawa. Funeral service will be held Friday, February 25th at 11 a.m. at St. Anne's Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mattawa Hospital Fund, St. Anne's Parish or a charity of your choice. May flights of angels take you to your rest, Mom
