ROBERT: Yvonne (nee Marcotte)

In loving memory of Yvonne Roberts (nee Marcotte) who passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2007 at Cassellholme in North Bay, in her 99th year. Wife of Andrew Roberts of Noranda, Quebec, predeceased in 1972. Loving mother of Nancy Mitchell (husband Bob) of North Bay and Andy (wife Edna) of Castlegar, B.C. Dear grandmother of Janet Know (Husband Jerry) and Judy Gummo (husband Garth) all of North Bay, Linda Hopson (husband Bruce), Dale (wife Trudy) and Pamela Roberts all of B.C. Great grandmother of Julia Know, Cameron and Candice Gummo of North Bay and Jennifer Obester (husband Kevin) and Mitchell Hopson of Kamloops, B.C. Great, great grandmother of Seth & Jude Obester of Kamloops. Dear daughter of Joseph and Anna Marcotte, both predeceased. Dear sister of Blanche Robert, Rollande Dellaire (husband Edgar), Emilien (wife Deneiges) and Rene Marcotte, Gabrielle Courville Fraser, Jeanne Martel and marguerite Sauve, all predeceased. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Yvonne lived in Noranda, Quebec for all of her married life and then moved too Sudbury after the death of her husband Andy in 1972 to be near her 11 brothers and sisters. She enjoyed crocheting and made 11 tablecloths for everyone in her immediate family, finishing her last one for her grandson in B.C. just before she passed away.


At Yvonne's request there will be no visitation. Cremation at the Forest Lawn Crematorium, North bay. Yvonne's ashes will be buried beside her husband in the military section of the Noranda Cemetery in Noranda, Quebec.
