Frances Purves died suddenly, but peacefully, on Friday, November 16, 2012 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre. She was in her 81st year. Fran was the beloved wife of Frank G. Purves of Port Loring and loving mother of Wendy Purves-Lambie (Bob) of Toronto, Robert Purves (Caroll) of Zephyr and Susan Purves (John Van Geene) of Bracebridge. She will be lovingly remembered by nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Fran was the dear sister of the late Ann Hough, George Wood, the late John Wood, Margaret Broom, Inez Greenfield, the late Gord Wood, the late Ken Wood and Andrew Wood. Immediate cremation will be followed by a celebration of Fran’s life at a later date.
