Fils bien-aimé de Onil Proulx et Béatrice (Lafortune). Père dévoué de Stéphanie Proulx (Miguel) de Sudbury et fière grandpère de Rhylea. Cher frère de Daniel (Suzanne), Pierrette (Fernand Mainville), Gaëtan, Bernard (Doreen) et Denis (Aline). Dans ses moments de loisir, M. Proulx travaillait le bois à l'extérieur, et il admirait les tracteurs John Deere, les quatres-roues, les Polaris et les tracteurs d'antiquité Cockshutt.
