(1927 – 2008). The family announces with sorrow his death at the Au Château, home for the Aged, Sturgeon Falls, on Friday, March 21, 2008 at the age of 80 years. Son of the late Edouard and of the late Eva (née Champagne) Plante. Cherished husband of Thérèse (Labrosse) Plante. Loving father of Guy (Ginette) and Denis (Lise) both of Sudbury, Colette Corriveau (Jean-Paul) of Azilda and Robert (Bob) (Lorraine) of Lavigne. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Walter (Yvette) of Sudbury. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Ida Rousseau, Délica Robert, Gabriel Plante, Lucielle Rousseau and Gaston Plante. An avid outdoorsman, Léo loved hunting, fishing and summer camping. After 35 years of service with I.N.C.O. Léo had many hobbies, some which included, singing, dancing and gardening. A man with dignity, he knew the true meaning of family. He was in his glory when surrounded by his grandchildren. The family will receive relatives at St Jean-Baptiste Church, Verner on Saturday, March 29, 2008 after 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. Donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated.
