Garry Piper died peacefully, with family by his side, at North Bay Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, July 10, 2013. He was in his 69th year. Garry was the beloved husband and soul mate of Donna (nee Smith) of Chisholm; father of Dana Aubin (Justin) of Thornbury, Kevin Piper (Courtney) of Powassan and Kayla Restoule (Matt) of Sturgeon Falls; and grandfather of Rowan, Keaton, Jane and Josie. He was the much loved son of Ruth Piper (nee Stockill) of Barrie and the late Lawson Piper (1911-1998) and dear brother of Gwen Kuehni of Barrie, the late Dianne Piper and Debi Schlichter of Barrie. Garry is also survived by his mother-in-law Florence Smith-Phillips and sisters-in-law Diana (Brady), Shelley (Shane) and Sheryl. He will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and extended family. The Piper family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan, on Sunday, July 14, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and on Monday, July 15 from 10 to 11 am. The funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel on Monday at 11 am. Interment to follow at Boxwell Cemetery, Chisholm.
