PFEIFER, Ingeborg Amalia

It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Ingeborg Pfeifer better known as Inge or Inga on October 13, 2017 at Waters Edge Care Community. Ingeborg was the only child of Adolf and Anna Wettig. She was born on December 22, 1932 in Marienbad, Czechoslovakia. Leaving Europe June 19, 1948 arriving in Quebec City, Quebec July 18, 1948 along with her mother Anna and her grandmother Barbara they immigrated to settle in British Columbia, Canada with other relatives.
On September 20, 1949 Inge married Eduard Pfeifer in Dawson Creek, BC. Inge lived in various places in Canada, USA and Germany while her husband Ed was serving in the RCAF. They returned to North Bay in 1988 to spend their retirement years.
Inge was predeceased by Ed in 2014 and is the dear mother of Rita Smirle (Roger) of Calllander, Richard Pfeifer of North Bay, Diane McKay (Doug Gagnon) of North Bay. She will be remembered by six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. At her request, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A private family ceremony will be held to celebrate her life at a later date.
The family would like to thank the medical staff in Dialysis, at the North Bay Regional Health Centre as well as the staff at Waters Edge Care Community for their care and compassion.
