It is with great sorrow to announce the peaceful passing of Vittorio Leonardo Pettella at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at the age of 82 years. Vic was the beloved husband of Nancy (nee Patrizio) Pettella of 59 years and the loving father to Donna (Remi), Lina (Frank), Sandra, Marcello (Angelina), and Victoria (Bruce). He was a cherished grandfather to Dustin, Ryan, Daniela, Riley, Payton, Jaydan and Michael.
Born in Castelluccio Val Maggiore, Italy; he is predeceased by his parents Biase Pettella and Donata (nee Ranieri) Pettella and his brothers Rocco and Giuseppe and sisters Giovanna, Giuseppina and Maria. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Well known throughout the community as the founder of Vic’s Shoe Repair, where he worked every day for the last 60 years. Vic had many other loves, first and foremost, his family. He cherished family gatherings, comprised of sharing meals, listening to music and enjoying his home-made wine.
The family will be receiving visitors at McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Monday, February 26, 2024, between the hours of 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. A Mass will be held at St. Peter the Apostle Church (North Bay) on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 11 am.
