PAUL, Joffre Raymond Ovide

Born on May 9, 1915 in Bourget, Ontario near Ottawa. He was the son of Charles and Marie Louise Rochon. Joffre grew up in Timmins and later settled in Larder Lake where he resided until 2002. He worked at the Kerr-Addison Mine for 40 years and was an avid outdoorsman, maintaining his trapline until he was over 75. Predeceased in 1998 by his wife of 50 years Marvel May Gagnon and a brother Raoul, sister Aldea Adrienne and step-daughters Doris Barre and Shirley Parcher. Survived by his step-son William Parcher of Elliot Lake and step-granchildren Maurine (Bruce) Waldick of North Bay, Lynn Barre of Ottawa, Randall Barre (Lyn) of Montreal, Valerie Parcher of North Bay, Donna Frampton of Toronto, Cathy Laframboise (Richard) of North Bay, Vicki, Cindy and Gordon (Bianca) Quesnel and several Step-great-grandchildren.



At the request of Joffre there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place and his cremated remains will be interred alongside his wife at the Kirkland Lake Cemetery. A very special thank you to the Staff of Nipissing Manor, Corbeil for the exceptional care given to Joffre during the past year. Funeral arrangements entrusted to HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES.
