Passed away suddenly at his home on April 8, 2004, in his 61st year. Wayne was the loving son of Ella (Cliche) Parfit and the late Charles Parfit. Brother of Charlene Gilchrist (Bob) of Peterborough and Bob Parfit of North Bay. Dear uncle of Rob Gilchrist (Susan) and Cheryl Butler (Andy). Great uncle to Owen, Liam and Charlie, all of Peterborough. Friend to Rose and 'Dad' to Mandy. Wayne was born and raised in North Bay and attended St. Joseph's School and North Bay Collegiate. He worked for the North Bay Psychiatric Hospital until his retirement in March 2004. He loved music, a good game of cribbage, fishing with his brother Bob, and especially the outdoors, spending hours at the camp with his friends. Wayne was a friend to everybody and always ready to help. He will be remembered by all for his loving and giving nature. We love you Wayne and will miss you so much. Funeral service was conducted in the McGUINTY FUNERAL HOME Chapel, today, April 15, 2004 at 11 a.m. If you wish, donations to the charity of your choice would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
