Passed away at Cassellholme for the Aged, Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at the age of 80. Helen (née Alexander) was the beloved wife of Art Palangio and loved mother of Joe (Lynn) of North Bay, Vincent (Carla) of New Liskeard, Ron (Joanne) of Hamilton, Jamie (Connie) of Ottawa and Richard (Deanna) of North Bay. She will be lovingly remembered by nine grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents, Mary Jane and Alexander Alexander, three sisters, Harriet Krantz, Edith Phillips and Mary Graham and two brothers, Alec ''Buster'' and John Alexander. Helen was a former accounts payable clerk with North Bay Psychiatric Hospital for 20 years. Family and friends may pay their respects at McGUINTY FUNERAL HOME, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption, Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Cremation will follow at Forest Lawn Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Alzheimer Society would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
