It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the unexpected passing of Adele, tenderly embraced by family at her side on September 16th, 2019 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre at the age of 84 years. Predeceased by her husband John Vincent, son John Christopher, her parents; Emile and Wilhelmina Corbeil, sisters; Bernice (Alfred Legris), Anita (Eric Campion), Corrine (Gerald Keech) and brothers-in-law; Edward McCauley, Ron Palangio and Art Palangio (Helen). Survived by her children; Jennifer (Dan Berthiaume), Rosanne (Mark Blackadar),  Mark (Kathryn), her grandchildren; Jonathan, Amanda (Justin Perron), Emilie (Ryan Carr), Kyle, Andrew, Breanna and  Evan, her sisters; Gloria (Robert Fenlon) and Joan McCauley. Her love also extended for her four great-grandchildren; Rachelle, Robyn, Kinsley and Hannah as well as her many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces and great grandnephew. Adele grew up in a small house on John St. in North Bay, the youngest of six girls. As a young secretary she caught the eye of the boss’s son, they married and had four children and was by her husband’s side for 59 years. They loved to travel and did so alone or with family and often with her friend of nearly 80 years, Marjorie and her husband Ron Charette. Adele was an avid reader and enjoyed her word puzzles especially the daily crossword in the newspaper. Her love for family and friends was vaster than the oceans she sailed, brighter and warmer than the sun, more beautiful that the places she traveled, and more magnificent than the sunsets of Lake Nipissing, she admired from her home on Campbell Avenue and later Marina Point. A thank you to her doctors: Dr. Cowan and Dr. Khan and the nursing staff of the CCU at North Bay Regional Health Centre and Dr. Javier and the 8th floor cardiac unit nursing staff of Health Sciences North in Sudbury. Arrangements have been made through McGuinty’s Funeral Home, 591 Cassells St. North Bay with visitation Friday, October 11th from 2-4 pm and 7 -9 pm and a celebration of mass on Saturday, October 12th at 10 am at the Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption, 480 McIntyre Street West, North Bay. In Lieu of flowers, donations in Adele’s name made be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
