Died peacefully at Nipissing Manor Nursing Care Centre, Corbeil, on Thursday June 28, 2012. He was in his 84th year. Marcel was the beloved husband of Lila (nee Hughes) of Powassan and loving father of Pauline (David Larson) of Georgetown, Dennis (Debbie) of Powassan, Sharlene (Rick Tourigney) of New Liskeard and Debra (Wayne Gardiner) of Georgetown. Grampa will be lovingly remembered by five grandchildren, Derric, Deanne, Dawn, Kansas and Kyle. Marcel was predeceased by his siblings Rose, Bertha, Yolande, Annette, Albert, Loretta and Jean. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Paul Funeral Home Powassan on Wednesday, July 4 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm and then at Powassan Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses from 2:00 to 3:00 pm with a Memorial Talk at 3:00 pm. A graveside service will follow at the Jehovah’s Witnesses Cemetery in Chisholm at 4 pm. If desired, donations in memory of Marcel may be made to the Watchtower Society or the Powassan Kingdom Hall.
