Joyce Fern (Everson) O’Halloran of North Bay, Ontario passed away peacefully on February 24, 2023, at Cassellholme, at the age of 94.
Joyce was pre-deceased by her husband, William (Bill) O’Halloran (1980) and will be dearly missed by son Sean (Sally) of North Bay, daughter Randi (Don) Martins of Bancroft, grandson Jake Martins, and the Masse and Martins families, as well as friends and family throughout the province.
Joyce was born in Kirkland Lake to Kenneth and Lottie Ann (Storie) Everson. She was predeceased by her brother Stanley Everson and sister Marion (Babe) Hurd Pineo.
Joyce worked as a secretary and bookkeeper in newspapers and radio in Niagara and Kingston, where she met Bill. They relocated to North Bay where she worked at the Nugget and CPR Credit Union. Joyce was an active member of Calvin Presbyterian Church and volunteered at many community organizations including the Museum, the Capitol Centre, and Friends of Laurier of Woods.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 2nd from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. immediately followed by a service and refreshments at Calvin Presbyterian Church at 401 First Avenue West in North Bay.
