On November 13, 2022, surrounded by her children, Vonda O’Donnell passed away peacefully at 84 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
Vonda loved beautiful things. She was a talented watercolourist and tole painter. Vonda loved saving wooden furniture and turning them into works of art. She was a beautiful seamstress and would often sew well into the night. Her utmost passion was gardening, and she would be planning for spring planting well before the snow melted. Above all, Vonda’s greatest love was her family. She had four children, Maureen (Gerry), Bud, Dan (Nancy), Laurie (Randy), ten grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. All were proud to call her mom, grandma and GG.
Vonda was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Cliff O’Donnell. Both loved to dance and are now together, dancing in heaven. We invite her friends and loved ones to join us as we celebrate her life at Osprey Links Golf Course on Sunday, December 11, 2022, from 1 to 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer Society of North Bay District. Special thanks to the loving and caring staff at Waters Edge Care Community.
