May 28, 1934 – September 22, 2014

Teacher, Artist, Adventurer, Husband, Father and Grandpa

Nestor was born in Preeceville Sask. and moved to Hamilton Ont. as a child. He graduated from Queen’s University as a chemical engineer. After working stints at DuPont Chemical and Sterling Drugs, he found his true vocation and dedication as a distinguished teacher of science and chemistry at Welland High School. While there, he established the Fur, Feather & Fin Club, introducing the love and respect of the outdoors to an entire generation decades before it became a popular idea. After retirement he moved to Bonfield Ont. where his zest for life and his love for art, antiques, painting, dancing, friends and family was enriched and fulfilled. Nestor is survived by his loving wife Margo; his children Miles (Michelle), Melanie (Grant), Diane (Angelo), and Kimberly James; his grandson Nicholas; his brothers Gene (Sharryn), and David (Heather); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, students, colleagues and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations to One Kid’s Place, a North Bay based charity devoted to creatively enhancing the lives of children may be made online or through HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday September 27 2014 at The Royal Canadian Legion 150 First Ave. W. North Bay Ontario from 2 – 5 pm. Come with your stories!

Always missed.  Never forgotten. Forever loved
