NAISMITH, George D.

Life long North Bay resident George Naismith died at the North Bay General Hospital on Wednesday January 31st, 2007 following a brief illness. George was the beloved husband of Carol (Dunn) who predeceased him in 1992 and was the proud and loving father of Jamie. He will be sadly missed by his brother Jon (wife Joanne) and their children Ryan (Natalie) and Erin Bitonti (Peter). Predeceased by his parents Roy and Marjorie Naismith George was born in North Bay on October 28, 1943. Educated in North Bay he was a member of the OPP for several years prior to joining the administrative staff at the North Bay Psychiatric Hospital.



George's family will receive friends at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) on Saturday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm. Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 pm on Sunday February 4th, 2007. Cremation to follow at Forest Lawn crematorium. If desired donations to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
