In loving memory of Dorothy Morton who passed away on June 22, 2021 at the age of 93 years. Dorothy is survived by her son Timothy Townson (Liz) of Kemptville and her brother Jamie (Debbie) Morton of Sudbury. Cherished by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lovingly remembered by several nieces, nephews, close loving friends and her wonderful canine friend, Jesse. Predeceased by her parents Edward and Violetta Morton, sisters Joan (Frank) Rading, Eileen (Reg, surviving) Pointer, sons Terrance and Randy Townson and very dear friend Allen Lummis. Dorothy was born September 8, 1927 and lived her life in North Bay and Corbeil. Dorothy enjoyed cooking, baking, crafts, gardening, crossword puzzles and reading but most of all, she thoroughly enjoyed her animals. Her family would like to thank the staff at Cassellholme for their kindness and continued care provided to Dorothy. The family will receive friends at the Martyn Funeral Home on Friday July 2 from 10–11 am. Due to the current pandemic restrictions which limit the number of visitors, those wishing to attend the visitation are asked to call the funeral home at 705-472-8810 to confirm an arrival time. The funeral service will be held in the chapel at 11am. The interment will be held at Terrace Lawn Cemetery following the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimers Society of Sudbury-Manitoulin or North Bay & Districts would be greatly appreciated by the family.
