MOREAU, Maurice A.

(retired owner/operator of Maurice Moreau's Texaco Station in downtown Callander). Maurice died peacefully after a brief illness on Sunday, December 3, 2006 at North Bay General Hospital, in his 81st year. He was the beloved husband Geri Ann (Rowell) of Callander, the loving father of Lynn Moreau (Dean Assinewe) of Massey, and Kristina Moreau of Banff, and proud grandfather of Sierra Assinewe. Dear brother-in-law of Janice Whitfield (Herbert) of Courtney, BC, and cousin of Betty Gauvreau of Temagami, Rosanna McCourt of Espanola, Homer Auger of Woodstock, Irene McCart, Carmen Ewin, Anita Fournier all of Temagami, and Heather Hawkins & Marilyn Swant both of North Bay.



The family will receive visitors at the PAUL FUNERAL HOME in Powassan on Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Knox United Church, Callander. Cremation has taken place. If desired, donations may be made in Maurice's memory to the Cancer Society, or Parkinson's Society.
