MORAN, Theresa “Terry” Linda

Posted

June 26, 1947 - January 10, 2008. It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Theresa Moran at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie, on Thursday, January 10, 2008. Theresa fought her eighteen month battle with cancer the same way that she lived her life - with dignity, optimism and humor. Even after this terrible disease robbed her of her eyesight, Theresa fought on valiantly while still knowing the reality of her situation. Many, whom Theresa included within her circle of love, will miss her. Among them are her husband and soul mate Patrick, children Tim Tranter of Toronto, Joe Tranter and his wife Christine of North Bay, Monica Morrow of Barrie, stepdaughter Karen Grasser and husband Jamie of Callandar, mother Adeline Conte, of North Bay, mother-in-law Ida Moran, of North Bay, sister Pam Griffin and husband Dave of North Bay, brothers Mike Conto and wife Judy of Restoule and Orland Conte and wife Doris of North Bay. Theresa will also be sadly missed by her seven grandchildren; Denzel, Madison, Jayden, Sierra, Hudson, Rebecca and Jake and Uncles Gerald Felice and Peter Falconi of Toronto, Aunt Mabel Saucier of North Bay and scores of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Theresa had many and varied interests that included the arts, crafts, theatre, dance, aerobics, travel and giving back to the community by volunteering in organizations like the Barrie Out of the Cold program. Always adventurous, Theresa was never afraid to try something new. Theresa had a 30-year successful career with Ontario Hydro that saw her hold several positions of increasing responsibility in North Bay, the Bruce Nuclear Development and lastly in Toronto, where she retired as Supervisor, Accounts Payable in 2001.
