MILLION, Robert John

Peacefully on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at North Bay General Hospital, in his 83rd year with his family at his side, after a valiant and dignified battle with heart and lung disease. Beloved husband of Eileen Million (Ross) with whom he had just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Dec 30th, 2007. Dear father to Sandra Guitard (David). Dear and beloved Poppa to Rebecca Guitard, all of North Bay. Predeceased by his son David Million (Carol) of Mississauga, and by his parents James and Georgina Reid-Million of Teeswater, ON. Bob is survived by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Art Burke (Trudy) of Mississauga; Edna and John Marchuk of Oregon; Flo Ross (Norm) of Wingham; Marg Ross (Bill) of Kincardine; Denise Ross (Don) of Kipawa. Predeceased by Mable and Alec MacKay and David and Jeanette Ross. Beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews in southern Ontario, Oregon and the Bahamas.



Bob was a Veteran of World War II, serving in both Italy and Northern Europe with the Perth Regiment of Stratford, ON and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 539 North Bay. It is his wishes that there be no visitation, interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery, North Bay at a later date, followed by a celebration of his life. In lieu of expressions of sympathy, donations to the North Bay General Hospital Foundation would be gratefully appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES.
