March 11, 1941 to Sept 6, 2007. Family and friends announces with deep sorrow and lots of love the passing away of a very loved spouse, daughter, mother, grand mama, sister, friend, on Thursday September 6, 2007. Lily passed away at the Larentian Hospital in Sudbury, ON and was surrounded by all her family and many good friends who loved her so very much. Lily leaves behind her best friend, and spouse Jean Guy (Gene) Lalonde, originally from Sturgeon Falls, who loved her with all his heart, and cherished Lily for many good years of marriage.



They moved to Elliot Lake after they married, worked, brought up their family and retired there. She had two great children and four beautiful grandchildren who loved her with no limitations. A son Dale Lalonde, spouse Debbie and a granddaughter Lydia, who resides in North Bay; and a daughter Shelley-Ann Bushey, spouse Allen and three granddaughters Stephanie, Tia and Kailey, all resides in Sturgeon Falls. All her grandchildren were so very dear to her, she was a wonderful grandmother and loved all of them so very much. Lily has three sisters, Joyce, Anna and JoAnn; three nephews, Daniel, Robert and Michael; and three nieces Sylvie, Francine and Kimberly. Ghislaine (Joyce) Brushwiller, Rheal Courville, who resides in Palm Springs, California and Sturgeon Falls. They have three sons; Daniel Courville (Jeannine), Robert Courville (Sonia), Michael Courville (Brenda), all three resides in California. AnnaBelle (Anna) Leblanc (Roger) resides in Sturgeon Falls; they have two daughters; Sylvie Ducharme (Daniel), Francine Gingras (Mario) all from Sturgeon Falls, JoAnn Lennon, (Larry) resides in Sturgeon Falls, they have one daughter; Kimberly (Gino Silvani) residing in North Bay. From the beginning of Lil's illness, cancer, Lily was always positive and never stopped trying to get stronger, she endured her pain, and only asked God to give her strength to accept her suffering.



She never complained, she was always the one who comforted us, and asked us to always be strong, she was fighting for her life till her last breath. She will be missed so very much by all her family, and her good friends, she may not be with us on earth, but she will remain in all our heart forever, she touched everyone who knew her. God needed a SPECIAL ANGEL, and Lily was the chosen one. We would like to express our “Thanks“ to everyone who made Lily's last days more comforting. The funeral mass was celebrated on Monday, September 10th at 11 a.m. from Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Elliot Lake with Father Paul Conway officiating. Interment in Sturgeon falls. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the ELLIOT LAKE FUNERAL CHAPEL.
