Maddie passed away on August 14, 2022, with her family by her side at the North Bay Regional Health Centre in her 88th year.
She will be lovingly missed by her daughters, Michelle (Kevin), Joanne (Victor), Claire (Mark), and Brigitte (Tom).
Survived by her siblings, Pierre Cookie (Karen) and Marie-Claire (Rocky).
Maddie is now reunited with her loving husband Karl, who passed away in 2020.
Predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Flore Cauchy, her brother Venant (Denise), Rheal (Jeanne), and sister Jeannine (Jack).
Maddie will be dearly missed by all of her grandchildren, Christopher (Jody), Madison (Justin), Jordan, Emilia,
Stephanie (Steve) and Jason (Ashley).
Maddie was such a compassionate person, she loved singing in the church choir for weddings and funerals, she had the most beautiful voice.
But most of all, Maddie loved her wine; she knew exactly which fine wine to pair with food.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Jinnah, Malorie, Kelly and Marco from the Palliative Care Unit at NBRHC for their kind, compassionate care of our dear mom!
As per Maddie's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery at a later date.
