Passed away peacefully on July 10th surrounded by his family. Loving husband of Ingrid, dear father of Ralph and Julie Merkel and Linda and John Bowman. Opa to Adam, Daniel, Jami, Eric, and Christopher. Brother-in law of Barb, Brian and Louise. Brother of Ingrid Merkel. Gus will be remembered by his friends and neighbours as a giving and caring person. He will forever live in the heart of his wife and family. No visitation or service.
