McMURRAY, Raymond

( 1927-2007 ) The family announces with sorrow his peaceful death after a lenghty illness on Monday January 22, 2007 at the age of 79 years. Son of the late Georges and of the late Céline (née Charles) McMurray. Loving husband of Gabrielle McMurray (née Piché) of Sturgeon Falls. Dear father of Gisèle McMurray (Daniel Daoust) of Sudbury, Carmen Bélanger (Angelo) of Angus, Denis (Joanne) and Paul (Debbie) both of Sturgeon Falls. Survived by his brothers Georges of New York, Robert (Letty) of Kingston and André (late Yvette) of Sturgeon Falls. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Charles, Louise McNeil, Jean, Blanche Monette ( Lionel of Kingston ) Joseph ( Alma of Sturgeon Falls). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his 8 grandchildren, Patrick, Danielle, Karine, Chantal, Alain, Janelle, Victoria and Wesley.

Raymond was retired after a long and successful career as a welder in the construction business. He was a devout catholic who lived by his strong beliefs in God and the Blessed Virgin Mary.

According to his wishes, there will be no visitation. The family will receive friends in Sacré Coeur Church, Sturgeon Falls, Friday, January 26, 2007 for Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 11 a.m.
