At North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site, Monday, September 20, 2004. Laura Hillman beloved wife of the late Joseph McMeekin in her 87th year. Dearly loved mother of Diane McMeekin and Joan McMeekin both of North Bay and Dennis McMeekin (Kathryn) of Goderich. Lovingly remembered by grandson Darcy McMeekin of North Bay. Loved sister of Rosa Ramsay of Clinton, Allen Hillman of Milford Bay and sister-in-law Kathleen 'Kay' McMeekin of Mattawa. Predeceased by her parents Fanny and William Hillman, a daughter Marcia and sisters, Violet Hollaway, Nora Gibbs, Bessie Fowler, Frances Hillman and brothers, Louis, Harry, George and Jimmy Hillman. Laura was a former member of Interlink, the Old Timers 406 Wing, the Golden Age Club and an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 23. Visitation at the McGUINTY FUNERAL HOME, this evening from 7 to 9 p.m Funeral service will be conducted in the McGuinty Funeral Home Chapel, Thursday at 11:15 a.m. followed by a luncheon in the reception lounge.
