Jean passed on Saturday January 8, 2022. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 57 years, Russell, her children Pauline (Kevin) Latimer, Brian MacLean and Tammy (Greg) Morin.  She devoted her life to her children, and especially her grandkids!  “No eye shines so bright with love as when she was with her grandchildren and great grandkids”. She will be lovingly remembered by her 5 grandkids and 2 great grandchildren, of whom she was so very proud, Caitlyn (Brandon) Mayhew, Thomas Latimer, Meghan (Nick) Latimer, Evan Champagne McLean, Logan Morin and her great grandchildren Lydia and Carson Mayhew.  Predeceased by her parents Arthur and Mary Jane (Janveaux) Amyot. Survived by her brothers Paul (Bibianne) Amyot, Arthur (Louisette) Amyot and Roger (Barbera) Amyot.  She will be forever remembered by nieces and nephews, friends and cousins, especially the ones she referred to as sisters. Jean was a woman with a heart of gold and she touched the lives of many. Her hobbies were chasing her grandchildren around the province, cheering them on for birthdays, graduations, ringette, hockey and volleyball. And of course, she loved her Bingo. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. Our family would really like to thank the Critical Care Unit at the NBRHC who took exceptional care of her. We appreciate everything you did for her and our family!  Thank you also to the great care by Dr. Williams and staff at the Mattawa Hospital. Visitation will be held at the Martyn & Sloan Mattawa Chapel on Thursday, January 13th, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Anne’s Church on Friday at 11 am. Due to COVID restrictions, please call the Martyn & Sloan Mattawa Chapel at 705-744-7400 to reserve a spot for the visitation or mass. Masks are required in the funeral home and at the church, and please respect social distancing. Donations can be made to the SickKids Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
